Jessica Bower, who will own the restaurant, confirmed Monday she has signed a lease in hopes of opening a "fun and unique" restaurant in the building.

"I purchased a home in Inglewood almost a year ago and instantly fell in love with the neighborhood. ... I’ve worked in kitchens and in hospitality my whole life — this opportunity is just an extension of my interests in the lifestyle sector," Bower said in an email.

The restaurant is currently in the "very early stages of conception," according to Heidi Hageman, a spokeswoman for Bower. The restaurant's menu and opening date are not yet known.

If successful, the restaurant could provide a boost to Inglewood, which has seen notable redevelopment in recent years, though not at the pace of other parts of East Nashville.

Last November, Bower opened Steluta, a high-end boutique that sells clothing, jewelry and home decor at 1601-B Riverside Drive, not far from her restaurant's planned home.

"I really feel that Inglewood is at the forefront of the East Nashville scene. ... I'm proud to ... continue to contribute to the growth of this neighborhood," Bower said in the email.
