Durham, N.C.-based Rise Biscuits Donuts has signed a franchise agreement to bring the chain to Tennessee.
According to a news release, franchisee Fred Fordin is exploring properties in Nashville and Memphis for his first locations.
Rise Biscuits Donuts currently has 12 stores open, a figure it plans to double by the end of the year.
Rise’s menu includes gourmet donuts, biscuit sandwiches and salads. It is set to become just the latest biscuit-focused restaurant in Nashville, joining Biscuit Love and the new Cracker Barrel offshoot Holler & Dash.
